Abstract: This is a study of the role of library to mass literacy campaign in Ebonyi state Nigeria, it is a search into the effect of library to mass literacy in Ebonyi, the work is case study which used questionnaire and interview as instrument for data collection tables and percentage were used in analyzing data generated. The findings of this work, signifies the various services of public libraries in Ebonyi state as regards to improving mass literacy in Ebonyi state and also the role and to what extent has public library has played in mass literacy campaign in Nigeria. The following recommendations were made: Provision of extension services division, adoption of the use of mass media (TV, Radio broadcasting) as well as library exhibition audio visual materials such as film shows and mobile library.
