Abstract: The aim of this study is to find out the level of adequacy and currency of information materials in Federal University of Technology Minna library. In this study, survey research methodology was employed and the instrument used for collecting data is the questionnaire. This study discussed the concept of academic library, information resources in academic library, importance of adequacy and currency of information materials. This research work also finds out whether information communication technology (ICT) resources like the internet is available to students in the library. The findings of this study shows that there are no adequate and enough current information materials in the Federal University of Technology Minna library. It also reveals that the library is not rendering adequate internet services, which could have been a fast and easy way of accessing information materials. The researcher proffer the following recommendations; increased funding of the library, so as to enable it acquire adequate and current information materials, ICT resources like the internet, OPAC etc, should be provided, the library should also develop a mechanism to assess whether information provided meets the user’s needs.
