Abstract: This research was carried out to assess the use of library information resources by students of Federal University of Technology, Minna. The focus of the research is to determine the extent to which students use the available information resources and to give suggestions on ways of improving the library services in order to satisfy the users’ information needs. The target populations of the research were students from the six (6) schools in the university. Survey research design was used and questionnaires were used to collect data for the research. The data were analyzed using percentage which resulted in tables and figures. The research revealed that the library only operates manually and services to users are inadequate. The research also revealed that users are not satisfied with the services provided by the library. The following recommendations were made on how to improve the library services among which were the library resources should be digitized, the students should be given proper training on how to use the library catalogue, the library staff should be trained in ICT, etcetera.
