Abstract: The design of a plant to produce 50,000 metric tonnes of texture paint per day was carried out with a detailed description of material balance and energy balance of the process. The group work, which require individual member to give detail analysis, specification and design of single equipment have me responsible for the design of a mixer which is to mixed 50,000 metric tones per day of texture paint. A conversion of 99 % was obtained. The total fixed operating cost was put at 395,400 NI year. 40.2 % was the rate of return (ROR). The pay back period is put at 2.444 years. the pl~nt was designed with good instrumentation and eontrol system. The mixer power was obtained to be 0.617 KW. The plant life is put at 15 years.
