Abstract: The research work "titled" kinetic isomerization of n-hexane was conducted using eggshell and silica- Alumina as catalyst. This research work was aimed at improving the octane rating of hydrocarbon such as n-hexane. The experimental procedure was done using constant mass of catalyst and varying the volume of n-hexane the time taken for;[each reaction were also observed. The experimental Analysts was also carried out using a UVt spectrophotometer which indicated the various peaks of each sample and the various wavelength and absorbance value were read and plotted.
