Title: QUALITATIVE ASSESMENT OF PREMIUM MOTOR SPIRIT (PETROL) IN MINNA METROPOLIS

Abstract: All engines are designed and manufactured to run on specified fuel. They will emit substantially more pollutant if the fuel specification is changed and poorly maintained. Fuel adulteration has been in practiced in Nigeria due to financial incentives arising from different taxes that are imposed by the government, and also due to the "Get Rich Syndrome" of Nigerians. Gasoline samples were gotten from six different locations in Minna Metropolis, in other to determine their level of deviation from acceptable limits tests were run to know the properties of the samples and compared with accepfable standards. The test results indicated slight deviation from acceptable limits.
