the experiment was performed in a standard laboratory in Mouka Foam Industry Lagos.
four major physical properties - density, indentation hardness, tensile strength and
compressibility were ~ested and characterized. all the tests proved satisfactory when .
compared with those of Nigerian Industrial Standard (NIS).
The blending of castor oil into foam formulation is an economic way of producing .
" high density soft Foam".
From the exothermic reading it was observ~d that the sample with castor oil gave a
peak temperature of 87 .3oc while the control sample gave 120oc. this showed that the
ricinooleic acid content of castor oil is a heat absorber.|
